Since 1992, the federal government passed the Energy Policy Act.

This law placed strict regulations on flow rates.

All manufacturers must adhere to these standards and no adjustments can be made. In some cases, you may be receiving less than the maximum allowable water flow rate. Normally, this is due to low water pressure, a blockage in the plumbing or in the faucet, or a faucet malfunction.

WaterSense is a program sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to promote water efficiency (it is similar in nature to the EPA's Energy Star program). A product with the WaterSense label indicates that it meets water efficiency and performance criteria outlined by the EPA to help you reduce water use in your home.  Our showerheads include a pressure compensating flow regulator that actively delivers the best water flow for the amount of water that is available.

Removal of this will actually diminish performance. for decrease water flow rate you can adjust the two water supply valve to reduce it 15%-25%.

The flow restrictors required for aerators and shower heads can clog, resulting in greatly reduced flow rates.

Remove the aerator or shower head and make sure the flow restrictor is not clogged. Additionally, flushing the system properly will help to reduce the possibility and frequency of occurrences. The tips below will help you avoid problems.

These procedures are a good idea to follow each time the water has been turned off for repairs in your home.

Always blot dry any water from the faucet surface.

Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water.

Make certain that you rinse the surface thoroughly with water afterward.

Avoid using the following which can damage your finish:

Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner. Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents.

Avoid harsh abrasives or polishes. Avoid bleach-based cleaners.

Most of the MAX Faucets products will have the name on the faucet, usually on the escutcheon plate or drain cap. However, it is not uncommon for someone to replace the lavatory faucet without replacing the drain assembly.

Some of the older models may not have the old logo on the faucet body or handel aerator.

During the first few days you use your faucet, a small amount of debris may be flushed out of your pipe system. This happens even though the plumber flushes the pipes before completing work on your home. In addition, particles of solder, copper chips, plumber's tape and other installation materials can get caught in aerators and showerheads. Occasionally, a chip might damage the valve seat that provides the watertight seal. The tips below will help you avoid problems. It's a good idea to follow these procedures each time the water has been turned off for repairs in your home.

Pin holes in a MAX faucet spout are usually caused by dezincification, which is the removal of zinc from the brass due to salt solutions, brackish water, mildly acidic solutions and poorly grounded plumbing systems. When the zinc is removed, the copper is redeposited to these areas and the surface of the part.

The redeposited copper is a weak mass that is porous and fragile. If this has happened, you will need to replace the spout. To determine the spout part number for your faucet model, contact your MAX Faucets assistant, or e-mail us: max.faucets@yahoo.com

Yes. plastic PVC (Polyvinyl-Chloride) tubing can be joined to copper using "grip fittings." Each side of a grip fitting contains a narrow grip ring and a plastic compression ring (or rubber O-ring) that forms the seal.

Tips:

Use penetrating oil to help loosen corroded mounting nuts.

Use a hacksaw for cutting steel or plastic pipe.

Use a basin wrench for those hard to reach areas.

Use a tubing cutter to make straight, smooth cuts in plastic and copper tubing. Wrap thread seal tape clockwise around threaded joints to ensure a tight seal.

Single-handle lavatory and tub/shower models can be converted from a knob handle to a lever handle. However, the "action" of a lever handle differs from a knob handle, so you will also need a different valve in your faucet for the lever handle to operate properly.  A single-handle faucet converted from knob handle to lever handle will operate slightly differently from an "original equipped" lever model.

With time and use, the set screw on a handle may loosen up. Using a hex wrench or allen key will allow you to re-tighten the set screw in the handle.

Your faucet came with the correct hex wrench. If you can’t find the hex wrench that came with your faucet, most single handle kitchen faucets will use a wrench

if this doesn't fix the situation, you may want to loosen the set screw and re-seat the handle on the stem to make sure it is lined up properly. Once corrected, you may re-tighten the handle to the stem unit and it should work normally.

MAX kitchen faucets are designed to accommodate the majority of MAX Faucets handles. In most cases handle styles are available in different sizes, depending on the application of the faucet.  To locate a local source for MAX Faucets handles, visit MAX Faucets showroom.

You can also e-mail us max.faucets@yahoo.com

Nothing is wrong with your faucet. Water is simply emptying from the aerator and the hose of your faucet.

You need to push the fitting up over the nipple a little harder (you should hear a distinct "snap" or "click"). If you push it on gently, you might hear a slight click, but you haven't quite compressed the o-ring into the housing of the hose.

One more push should solve the problem.

We carry many parts for discontinued models; however, there are exceptions. To determine if we have the part you need, we will ask you to provide the age of your faucet and the model number or photos if you don't know your model number.

You can expect to be asked the following questions: What is your faucet's model number?

Where did you find the model number? Can you provide proof of purchase?

What is the date purchase or the age of your faucet?

What is the problem you are experiencing and has any work been done to correct it?

Please be near your faucet when you contact us as we may need to ask further questions or recommend a resolution

Without a specific model number, it is hard to determine the exact cause of a leak. In general, leaks are often caused by a scratched or torn cartridge, O-ring, or grommet. Typically, a cartridge replacement will correct this type of leak.

we use a few different cartridge styles you can find it on the MAX Faucets website. If you need help to find the right cartridge  feel free to contact us. You can also call us for help at 6474702275.

If you should happen to require assistance with repair of your Moen product, please contact us  at 6477355932 or through the contact us section of the website.

You can connect a portable dishwasher or water filter to any MAX kitchen faucet that is not a pull-out or pull-down design.  Never connect a portable dishwasher to pull-out or pull-down kitchen faucets, as potential pressure fluctuations during dishwasher operation may result in the hose rupturing.   Some MAX kitchen faucets have a cache, or hidden, aerator for design purposes.  If your model has a cache (hidden) aerator, you will need to order an adaptor to adapt the internal threads to standard 9/16 T-adapter male threads in order to connect the dishwasher.

The stopper should now come free of the drain for an idei watch video click here.

A pressure-balancing shower valve faucet balances incoming hot and cold water pressure to compensate for fluctuations in water flow. Balancing the water flow keeps shower temperatures constant and comfortable, within ±3°F (1°C) of the original temperature, despite other demands such as flushing the toilet or starting the dishwasher. MAX Faucets shower valves all feature pressure-balancing. Both valves require pressure on the hot and the cold side to operate.
